Thread: Template help Soholaunch

Not finding what I want with the templates in BV or Soho I am going to purchase a package from a site that was recommended by the General. I have a couple of different questions:

1. Do I unzip the template file and make all of the changes (photos, text) first, before I upload it into Soho? Or upload it and then make the changes?

2. Or... would it be easier to bring it into BV builder, make my changes, zip the files and then bring it into Soho?

Did the template you purchased not come with insructions???

Hi General... I haven't purchased it yet. I am a newbie and was a little apprehensive...
Every decision I have made recently has cost me a lot of time and trouble and I was hoping to get some good advice first.

I find that all the template type programs have limitations. I'm in the middle of changing my site over to soholaunch and I had to make a template from scratch. It has taken me a good while longer than I expected. If it is for a personal site, try teaching yourself how to make a soho template. The ones it comes with are flexible or create one from scratch.

If it is time critical or for business, I suggest finding a developer who works with soho or bv and get them to make a theme for you and then you can simply tweak the text as you need to.

If you are purchasing a template, and its still NOT what you want, why are you purchasing it? And by making changes, what kind of changes are you wanting?

I couldn't find a Soholaunch template that suited me either, I used Ben at template zapper to design me a template that I wanted, with custom menu etc.Didn't cost a fortune & I highly recommend him.

I do love the template that I purchased after posting last night... I just have to replace images and text with a little redesign.

I will check Ben out, thanks Marko. I am finding that I can change some elements of the purchased template but some are way out of my depth. It is for business, so I want it to be as professional and clean as possible.

Marko, thank you again for suggesting Ben. I have already been in contact with him and he is going to help me out with some changes. I am also very interested in his TZ coupon program and happy that it is a Soho add on!
