Thread: how shld. I add audio files

I would like to know how to add an audio files to my soho. I watched the tutorial and I tried to do the same but my file did not upload. I don't know how exactly how to do it. I am hoping that somebody will help me.

Try re uploading it. It has to be there in order to work.

How do you want to use, as background or? remember music files are too big, sometimes takes time to download.

It shoud be an .mpeg, wav, wma, mp3, rma, file extension. do you want it to play in the background ? Do you want it have a little radio box to shut off? What kind of audio file are you trying to load?

i am sorry I wasn't clear about that-mybad. I want it that when you click it - it will download. my files is .wma

Watch the tutorials and forums on hyperlinking.
First upload the .wma file to your server using
ftp manager under tools. That will put it in the public_
html folder (do not use publish).
Then set up your link properties to go to that file.
Just set up your text, bar, button, picture, or whatever'
you are wanting the visitor to select (you never said),
and point to that file. (i.e. http://www.ursite.com/ursound.wma
(this link is for demo only and is not active).
That method will cause the file to be downloaded to
the visitors computer. I have set up some pictures
to do that on my site below.
Just keep in mind that you must use the entire site link to get to your file or pic
or page, when linking. Hope that helps.

Hi... Is it possible to use an audio file uploaded to FTP (as described) as an audio file that is downloaded to visitor.. once they have made payment to let's say Pay Pal???

Yes, when u set it up as a product, you have the option in advanced to make it downloadable, so I think you can make it work.
