Thread: Price Variation

Hi I need some help with the price variation. I am creating a site for trainers and I have sizes from 7 to 12 but I can only have 6 price variations but I need 11.

You can set price variation in the soho shopping cart for various products, please refer to the shooping cart tutorials.

Well, I know you can set price variations for different products. The problem is that there seems to be only the ability to set price variations for 6 different types of a product, I need 11. As stated before I have 11 different ***** sizes. At the present moment I can only set price variations for 6 of the different **** sizes.

If you update your store, I believe they have now upgraded it to 12 variations as it was requested alot. You may upgrade by going to Webmaster icon in your soho control panel, and then clicking the software update tab. If you have missed more than one update, make sure you do each update from oldest to newest seperately and log off and back in for each update.

That was one of the main reasons I quit building in Soho - I'm glad to hear they have upgraded. If they ever upgrade to unlimited variations in the cart - I'll give them a try again.

They have had posted instructions for how to customize this for quite some time, but had so many request they added now up to 12. You could still fairly easily add more by duplicating the code thats there and changing the variations number in your mysql table. Its just a lil skeery at first tweaking these things, but it gets easier as time goes on.

Ok, sorry about this but I have another problem. I have the 11 price variations but I have another problem. The first problem is I want to put the 11 sizes in one drop down box, instead I have 11 drop down boxes each having the 11 sizes. The main problem im having though is that it wont save any changes in the price variation.

I believe it does do a drop down box for the variations. At the very bottom you can click the link SEE HOW THIS WORKS, and it shows you how to put the info in and then make sure you click the save button. If thats still not working I would contact soho.

Make sure when you did the updates you did them in order and didnt miss any. If you missed any, you will have to figure out which you did and apply the update manually which isnt nearly as much fun.

Karen, they didn't have that when I was using it - I asked and was told I couldn't customize that - and it wasn't available. Very glad to see things are changing. As I said, I'll probably use them again one day for another store.

When you are doing the variations, you dont want the sizes in the left hand box, but only in the right hand box. In the left hand, you should have for example: Black Leather Saddle ***** (sorry im brain dead and thats all i could think of) and then on the right the different sizes and prices.
