Thread: is this the best

Hi, I know that Blue Voda is fantastic, but I need to build a totally different kind of site and was hoping for some advice on what would be the best way to go.

I would like a site similar to the ones used by dating agencies, whereby you can upload information about yourself, including pictures. Then if somebody wants that information they can buy it, but instead of me being sent the order, once they have bought the info they receive it instantly.

In other words, I dont actually want to do any work, ha ha.

The only work I really want to do is vet the people who put their info on.

I hope this makes sense, its quite difficult explaining yourself sometimes.

It sounds like you might need a custom script to get what you are looking for. This is way out of my league, but I am sure someone will be along soon enough to point you in the right direction.

Hi, just do a Google for “dating software” there are many programs out there.
Just make sure its ok/compatible to use on the VH server. (most are)

Hi Chris, thanks for the info, I have been googling all day, they are really expensive. I was hoping that Blue Voda have something similar that can be adapted free of charge, i.e. like soholaunch, oscommerce etc. I know they have a lot of stuff through fantastico, not sure if there was anything on there that I could use.

If not, it looks like I am going to have to pay a lot of money and of course a lot of these packages want you to use their servers which I am not happy about because I have been more than happy with vodahost for over a year.
