i keep getting this error msg trying to install soho again

The installation can not be completed:

when hit back button nothing happens i tried to create a new file name and that did not work i want to create so i can use soho for a cart i already have built my pages in bv can someone please help im getting a lil fusterated here thanks for your patience

did you have something else installed there? before installing soho? like oscommerce? Sorry I asked.. I see an installation of zen cart, an installation of cube cart, and remnants of something your built with blue voda, and the space.gif is there too!

You have to decide what you want installed and remove all the other installations you have going on. The only thing you dont have cluttered in there is an index.html or index.php. You need to clean that mess up, or put soho in a subfolder.

ok ill clean up the mess but not quite sure how to im one of those who need a step by step instruction
ill get rid of everything i dont want cart wise i just want to be able to use bv and soho
a certian file and i cant find it

ok i got rid of the carts but i still cannot put soho in a differnt folder other than public_html

Well if you got it up there, then you dont need step by step on how to get it out of there. If you know how to UPLOAD it and INSTALL it you know where the UNINSTALL and DELETE buttons are.

As I said on the other thread.. go to your main cpanel and use the file manager or an ftp client to view all the files there. If you installed thru fantastico.. you need to uninstall those applications first there.

i am still not understanding why i cannot put soho in a folder cause i need to have bv as my front store then soho as shopping cart

Public Html is the only path and the only place you should be able to make folders. The path should be yoursite.com/folder

SOHO will do this automatically if you tell it and put in the correct path. Try making the folder first.
