Before anyone jumps, I do understand about searching the forums and reading all the instructions. I have spent some time doing that but I cannot seem to find the answer I am looking for. I do see some questions related to what I will be asking but I cannot see the direct answer for my problem. I have two domains hosted by Vodahost. One is add-on domain. For my add-on domain, I would like to change that to using Soholaunch. But I understand that Soholaunch must be in installed in a fresh "root" directory. Redesigning the website will take me a few weeks to maybe months (due to my own time limitation), and I cannot afford my website to be shut down during the transition period where I want to redevelop using Soholaunch. So, the question is: a. can I create a new directory under my add-on domain for the Soholaunch development? b. if yes, after the creation is completed, do I just copy all the developed files to the main directory of my add-on domain? Your answers will be most appreciated. Thank you. |

Only as an idea! Could you not put the Soho site in a sub domain permanently? So you may end up with http://www.newname.vikingbar.net It would keep you on line & have the convenience of linking to this part easily.
