Thread: Can anyone help??

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions again that maybe some of you can help me with.

1) The loading is very slow here for me and it is recommended to clear these tables at least once every 6 months for faster loading of reports etc. So does any of you know how I can clear this traffic statistics?

2) How can I change what is shown in the top of the source code where it says <title> ? Is this done in the wizard? Do I have to do the wizard again and if so, will it effect anything I have done in the website, modifications to the shopping cart etc ??

Yvonne,

You should be able to change the title on the properties tab of the page you are working on. The others you can change in either, admin, global settings or in the template manager, so no dont run the wizard again.

Yes dump all .. i think 6 stats table, you may want to download them first if you want to keep them, then clear the table thru the storebuilder and NOT myphpadmin..

Thank you again for your help so far. I have now managed to fix the first problem. But when it comes to the tables...............what exactly do you mean with the storebuilder??

I clicked on the Shopping Cart button here in Soho but there is no options there to clear the tables. Maybe I misunderstood you there.

Would you please try to explain that one again, on how and where to go exactly to clear these tables ??

Yvonne,

Yes.. go to the database tables icon, click on system tables, and scroll down...and all the STATS are caps and bolded.. those are the ones to clear, you will note on the right you can download them also and open in excel later if you want to keep them. If not .. click the empty link and it will clear that table.. so the same for all of the ones labeled STATS. It will make your store operate LOTS faster.. but its good if you have to do that.. means you are getting some GOOD traffic. I have to do mine about every 6 to 8 weeks and sometimes more...just depends on the load.
