Depends where the pic is.. in the cart it does this anyway.. shows thumbnail and full scale picture. Else where you would need two images, thumbnail and a large, and you would simply LINK the small one to the big one.

Question Re: How to link image to a full size image

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the info re pictures.I assume that I need to create another page for the larger picture. Now the question is....how do I place a larger picture in the drop zone to appear large ? If i place it in the centre..it is still contracted small. Do I make the picture in larger pixels ?

No.. Just upload both images. ON the page you want the image to appear, put the little image, then make the link, and make the target to a new window or _blank, It will make its own page.

Hello Karen
I am sorry ,but I do not understand your answer. When I put both images on the same page and open a link from the smaller one... I get options....Site pages, External site, Link to email.
What I need is for visitor to click to smaller image and get the enlarged version. Sorry to be a nuisance, but i am so new to all this

LOL.. dont put both pics on the page. I said UPLOAD both pics to the image folder.

Then make your page, and insert the smaller pic.. in your text editor. Then right click on it and go to pic properties and type in the link, or hilight the pic and click on the chainlink icon in the text editor and type in your link

ie: http://www.yourdolliesite.com/images/bigpicture.jpg

and then also tick the box that says new window. It will make like a pop up of the bigger image and when they close it.. your site will be under it.

Hello again Karen,
I tried as you suggested...uploaded both pics in image folder.Inserted the smaller pic in the text on the page, right clicked it...properties came up but I could not open them when i clicked on it. So I tried by highlighting the pic then going to link icon...my usual windows opened....site pages, external site(into which i typed www.blueribbondolls.com/imagesbigpicture.jpg) and the last window Link to email address.
There was NO box that said NEW WINDOW So nothing Popped up!!!
You realise I am using Soholaunch?
What did I do wrong ??????

Yes.. I realize you are using soholaunch, its just that i code so much, i rarely use the builder itself to do the coding, but I was sure those boxes are in there.

Ok.. now that you have the link in there on the text editor, go to the html view by clicking on it on the bottom there and where see the link to your picture

<a href="http://www.yourdollsite.com/images/bigpicture.jpg">

add this to the code

<a target="_blank" href=

And see if that will do it for you. If not i will log into soho later and see exactly the code and put it here for u.

you also forgot to put the slash between images/nameof picture

Make sure you are doint the images inside the text editor and NOT the image icon.

An image box should open up where you have general, appearance and advanced, and you should be able to browse on the general box to your image and select it from a list, and then in advanced, you can even do a cool mouse over, by selecting your second image from the list if you dont want to make a link.

Drag and drop a text box to the page, then double click it to edit it.

See the screen shot below. This is what you should be using to insert an image.

Dear Karen,
I purchased Soholaunch this month. Why did i not get the updated version?
I updated it now.But now when i open a page to edit...it comes sort of compacted and I cannot make it full size. The full size icon does not work.

I am still having problems with those images......If i want the mouse over, how do I fill in the Windows......Alt image, mouse over, mouse over out,id,Language, language code, image map, long description link

OR if I want to use the link version, which window do I type in the http://blueribbondolls.com/images/bigpicture.jpg

I suggest you do the tutorials to familiarize yourself with things.

Use the browse for files to find the images you want to use. ignore the rest.

Updates often come out before the server is updated. You purchased hosting, soho came with it for free. Normally soho costs.

Dear Karen,

I went through all the Soholaunch tutorials and There are no answers to any of my last questions. My Editing Page Content page is still small and the maximise tool does not work. In some of these pages even the toolbar is half oscured.
PLEASE guide me through the questions I asked previously.

Thanks Karen,
You have been most patient.I also have had enough. This setting up a website is not so easy as it is said to be.I have wasted so much time and energy, that I feel I should have had somebody do it for me.Seeing that i have paid up for a year...it will stay as is.
