Thread: Soholaunch Re-installation

Please tell me exactly how to re-install soholaunch. I have been naming my pages incorrectly. I do not know how to save my home page as index. How do I create an index page.

Here is what I see on the installation page:
I have read "How to name your pages" but this is still unclear.

Install Soholaunch Pro Edition (1/3)

Install location

Install on domain (I put my website name here - I do not have a choice of deleting it).

Admin access data
Administrator - username (is this the username given to me in th welcome letter?)

Password (is this the password given to me in the welcome letter?)

Preferred language (no problem)

Install soholaunch Pro Edition

Soholaunch makes its own Index based on the template you use and the builder. Your HOME PAGE is basically your INDEX page.. its what is presented inside the template

As you install this.. You choose the Admin name and the password. Yes you can select at a later point to have the details mailed to you.

Once you get it installed...then go thru the tutorials on how to build your pages and add elements to them and how to add your products to the catalog etc.

Thank you so much for responding. I proceeded to build the website and when I viewed it - Realized that it was already on the web. I deleted it for I did not want it viewed until it was completed.

I feel I can build the website but I just need to get the under construction page placed so it is not visible.

I have read a lot of info on the forum but none was specific enough for me to understand.

From my reading - I understand Soholaunch is better to use if I am selling products.

Yes soholaunch is for ecommerce mostly. And yes you are live there. How did you delete it? Im not sure I understand what your problem is? Is it already installed? did you delete something thru cpanel or did you use fantastico?

If you arent selling and you dont want it live.. then use BV.

You hit the nail on the head - it is live. I want ecommerce and I want it live but not until I finish creating the website. Is there anyway to build an under construction page on soholaunch?

When I discovered it was live on the internet as I was building it, I deleted the soholaunch installation via fantastico on cpanel.

If it is going to be live while I build it, how can I secure the site with passwords.

Just dont put the page on the menu. On your home page put under construction. If no one knows where it is.. no one will find it.. just dont link to it

OH.. and you dont NEED to secure it. Even after you go live if they want something off there.. they can get it. Your images etc. Just dont put the pages on the nav bar until you are ready to set it all live.

I created an "under construction" page.

I have been reading so I can figure out how to delete the background color from my page. It was easy to apply color but difficult to remove it.

Can you help me with this?

Try page properties and simply change it to white or none or auto to match the template.
