Default How to resize pages with soholaunch templates

    Dear Karen Mac,
My web site is www.primalleathers.com and I have been told that you could maybe help me. Some people say my pages are too wide and they have to scroll to read it. I am useing a soholaunch template and I cant figure out what is wrong or how to fix it . I have put in a ticket to the co. for help but they never give me the help I need. Could you please look at my site and maybe give some advise?

    Thank you
    Randie

    Randie...

    Welcome to voda land.

There is NOTHING wrong with your template and your template is NOT too wide. The template you are using is a FLUID template meaning it MOVES with the screen its being viewed on or the size of the browser. Its not a FIXED width template.

If they think its TOO wide.. ask them to mark the arrows on the side of their browser and move the page back and forth and they will see the elements MOVE with it. Thats one benefit of using a fluid template-- It always fits the screen.

They have their browser set wide or full screen or set too narrow. They may even have their fonts SET to large in explorer instead of normal or medium.

Im not sure what you mean as PREVIEW.. do you mean PREVIEW in soho.. when you are building the page? Thats normal as its meant as more of a popup window to view what you are doing while making changes.

I checked your site and have no side scroll on any of your pages. Looks good.

It may be the page layout, the products are right up against the up and down scroll bar making you think it has more to show. Try reducing the width of you menu bar so that you can move the products to the left a bit, also the horizontal line at the top extends right up to the scroll bar, try shortening it and see what they say then.

He cant fix the menu bar without altering the templates. He can do some things with page layout and perhaps use a smaller font in the text areas more to the size of the images etc he is using.

OK here is a weird one. When I went to a friends house and looked at my about us page on two diffrent computers, one of them the font was right it was in hand writing and on the other computer the font is the way it was before I changed it to hand writing. How can it be comeing up two diffrent fonts on two diffrent computers? Also on that same page I set the text part to be the same width as the picture and it looks fine on my screen but on both of theirs they do not aline with each other. Why?

The font issues are because they have the fonts installed or not installed on that computer. Thats why you should choose web friendly fonts... not all computers have the same additional fonts. Also the screen size may not be the same.. so it will look differently on differnt monitors.
