Thread: plugins problems

I am trying to put a couple plugins into my web site. I put the files into a zip folder, but when i tried to up load, i received an error message. unable to detect name of extract file. it there something that i am doing wrong.
I am using the soholaunch builder.

Why are you putting files in a zip folder? If they are plugins designed to work with soho, they come in a zipped folder..so you dont have to zip them. You just go to the plugin manager and browse for the original file.

If you are zipping up something else.. not made for soho it wont work.

I QUEST I WAS TRYING TO CREATE MY OWN PLUG INS. Not a good idea the way i was trying to do it.
Maybe you can help. How can i place a picture or text on my home page and when i click on it, it is link to another page?

drag the text editor to the page, insert pic, right click on pic, properties and type in the link

for text.. type what you want .. hilite it and click the LINK icon, globe with a chain link on it.

Youd need to be an advance programmer and be familiar with all the functions of soho to create your OWN plugins.
