Thread: can 1 website have more then 1 domain name?

My husband would like to sell his candles, but doesn't want to go thru the time and money putting in a whole web site for his candles. Can his own domain name be directed to certain pages on my web site? Or even directed to my web site and we share the site??

Your one voda hosting account can have as many domains in it as you like, providing the domains are in the voda host account holders name.

These domains would be independent of each other and would carry their own website url (address)

example - www.?????.com

As well, you can have as many sub-domains as you like in your one account under your one main domain too ... this sub-domain (a sub folder of your main domain) would be dependent on the url of the main domain ..

example - www.?????.maindomain.com

Well.. if you are going to use the same site for both domains, you need to park and point or redirect the domain. You can often do this in your domain registrar admin area.

If not.. you will have to redirect it in cpanel or thru an htacess file.

Easier.. why not just add a CATEGORY of candles to your store and SKIP the domain all the way around?

I think adding another category is the easiest way to do it. So if I add another domain name: Madjackscreations.com then I could have it so it went right to my website, is this correct??

Yes.. but it would open the home page. Not the category page.
