Thread: Extending main Page Headings

Hi AllI have the main page headings going across the top of my webpage. I have added more products under 3 extra main headings, the problem is that when looking at the website it looks like there is not enough room for them to fit as I now have a line through the templete picture and the headings look crowded.Is their anyone that can tell me how to fix this up I have looked in the Menu Navigation and the Templete manager but don't seem to see anything that relates to making this area larger.ThanksSharon

The problem using top menu buttons is not having enough room for them.

You could
1. REcategorize and put some of them as SUB pages rather than top level headings

2. Edit the menu system files to all a second row of headings

3. Edit the template files and make the table/page wider

4. Edit the template and disable the top menu and use a side menu

Either of these that you suggested would be what I would like to do which ever would be the easier .....as you know I'm not real comp lit

Could you direct me as to how to go about it..... I have looked in both sections but not sure what I am supposed to be looking for.

If you go to the template manager you will see theres a link on there to a pdf for how to make templates etc.

Its not a matter of downloading just the index file.. youd would have to download the TEMPLATE folder edit the css and index file there then reup it to make your changes.

Editing the menu system is another can of worms and if you dont know what you are doing you can corrupt the install of soho. You would be altering the system files.

Theres actually another option here.. you can create your own menu system and hard code the links buttons to your pages in the template files.

OH..NO....just had a look in there and would not even know where to start beyond my capabilities I'm afraid, Im likely to end up losing the lot!!!!!

Might have to look at a differant template after all, shame as this is the one you set up for me and it is coming along well, but I still have one more section to add before it is finished and there is just not the room.

Try recategorizing and making SUB pages instead... that would solve MOST of your dilemna.. each one doesnt have to be a TOP LEVEL
