Thread: Changing/updating item info for multiple products

I have at least 500 products that will need to have the item info updated from time to time.......such as price variation change, available quanity change, etc. what would be the simplest way to make these changes without having to go into each product? Please advise. thanks

Download your csv make changes and import it back up.

Comma Seperated Value file that is imported to Excel. Im not going to post a whole dissertation on it. Google it ...learn what it is and how to use it.

ok, now I have uploaded a CSV file with my various items and prices for the Price Variation tab in the Shopping Cart menu. I'm adding new products.........how do I get this file to populate to this Price Variation tab? I am trying to eliminate having to enter each line individually (I have many products to add). thanks

you have to import it to the database system.. cart_products.

Karen, please excuse my ignorance, however, I haven't a clue on how this is done. Can you please direct me? Where in the Cart products? I'm new to this and would appreciate more help. thanks

Look at the soho manual you can see how to do it there.

After you read the SOHO tutorial you will see that you need to add one product manually to the cart with all of the additions you will have to them and then download the cart_products as Karen has said. Once you read it and learn it you will like and appreciate it, as it will enable you to make vast changes quickly. In the mean time it can be a bear LOL.
