Thread: Adding more product to inventory page

Hello,
Just checked the forums and couldn't find the answer, so here it goes.
I currently have 27 items on my Un-Conventional page, and it doesn't seem to want me to do more. I want to add more items to this page, without seperating the pages (ex: necklaces, earrings, ect).

I can't do a drop down menu from the Un-Conventional link, can I?

Ex: push Un-Conventional, then necklaces, earrings, ect, come up, then go to that page?

you can only put a certain number of items on your page. what we did was create additional pages and a link at the bottom of page 1. to see what im talking about go here: let us know if you come up with a different way.

I see. So you just added another page, and just linked from your 1st page, and not your home page.

I will let you know if I come up with another way, but that seems pretty logical and easy for the clients.

Wait, mrmagoo144, did you make your page off menu? I am wanting to begin to make my next page, but not sure where I put that information? If I create a new page and put on menu, it will show up on the home page.
If I create off menu, how will I know the URL to put as my link on my
Un-Conventional page?

actually you can get TWO products in each one of those boxes.. you dont have to create a new page

you can automatically link to the pages on your site, when you insert the link, and go into the properties.. it gives you the options of KNOWING the link

Ok, maybe this is it? I was at the main menu, then right clicked, and found this: http://www.loveitshop.com/sohoadmin/.../open_page.php
not sure if it is it b/c I am not sure how to fit the text on the bottom with all the products, so am going to delete a row from the page, then try it.

Ok, that didn't work!
It went to my menu on sohoadmin... don't think that is good(;
So, I removed that. I actually added a product to see, but all I saw was my menu.

This one, I got when I went into the actual page, so going to try it now.

Now, I keep trying to add text to the bottom of the page, that totally worked a minute ago, and now its not?
No really, I tried like 5 times in a row to get the text beack up there. I deleted 3 products from the page earlier, added the text, the link didn't work, so I removed it. Then, I got a different link, and tried to add the next link again, and it won't let me do anything!
Sorry about the run-ons.

Everytime I save, it disappears (the text). It is there before I save though (at the bottom of page).
It is so bazaar.

I was, I think. I went to the page: Un-Conventional. Pushed edit. Dragged text editor. Made text. Linked text. Saved. Then the text box completely disappears.

is your site updated? have you cleared cache?

1st, not sure what the link is, so I am trying to test it. Earlier, you told me to push page properties, but not sure where?

however, everytime I try to put up text, it won't let me, even though I did it earlier.

Ah!

No i didnt tell you to push page properties.. i said LINK properties.

When you hilite the text and click the link ICON you have options for displaying the link.. one of them is to pages on your site.

i made the page off menu. why would i need to have page 2 of an item show on menu. the visitor is only going to the main page of the item such as animals. then i made my link with either text or an image.

not sure why i would want 2 different pictures in one box. i don't think the pictures are big enough as is. karen, can you show me a page where 2 pictures are in one box?

Oh my... I am having such difficulties!
If I knew the link, I could do that, right? I don't know the link.
I am trying to make a new page, off the Home page menu.
I want it on the Un-Conventional page.
As "Next" with a link to my new page "Un-Conventional 2," which I have yet to make, with new products. I am 1st, not sure whether to make it on menu, or off. I am assuming off, b/c I don't want it on the "home" page.
However, I am not sure how to take that "off menu" page, and put it on my Un-Conventional page.

ok here it goes:
what you will have to do on your first page is leave the lower row blank for your link, so move the last 3 items on your first page to the 2nd page and use the lower row for your text or image link so that your visitor can go to page 2.
1. create your new page off menu
2. call it Un-Conventional 2
3. now go to edit your page
4. insert your product through your shopping cart - * what i did here is i left the top row for my header as i have a header on each page. for page one of animals the header is "Animals 1" and the header for the 2nd page is "nimals 2."
5. when you are finished with your inserting of products on page 2 create another text or image link on that page so the visitor can go back to page 1 if they wish. if they want to go elsewhere they can use the nav. menu.
6. what i find a little confusing is that you do not have a navigation menu on each page. why is that? not saying it is wrong, just curious. if you need to have some one on one you can call me through my website.

well once you create the new page Un-Conventional 2 and then you have your text on the page. in your case i saw "next page" you highlight this and then click on the link icon. a box comes up and you can use the site page to link to. hope i explained this correctly.

Magoo do you mean products? because thats what i said.. two products in one box! They will show the same size.

And actually it doesnt matter as you can drag a SECOND OBJECT no matter what it is .. in those boxes

Just drag one of your objects into another box and look for yourself. SHOW YOURSELF.
