Thread: cannot preview homepage in edit mode

I just was able to reaquire control of my website thanks to customer support but I still have a problem. I can go to my home page and edit it just fine but when I try to preview the changes, if any the page will not show up and keeps going back to edit mode. any help will be greatly appreciated.
Going directly to the site is no problem, only in edit preview.

make sure you have minimized the initial window as this will cover it up.

Tried that , it would have been too easy. Any ideas what I can check next. This isn't critical, I can go to "preview website' in the main menu and see the home page but I really would like to have things the way they should be and access it thru the preview using the "edit page" mode.

I really cant tell you without seeing what you see. Could be lots of things.. do you have the latest java platform installed on your computer? Is the store update? to the latest software.?

I think it's all up to date. The thing is it's just that one page, the others are normal. I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it. Thanks anyway.

Well if its just THAT page.. you are running some script on there thats interfering with the page.

All 3rd party scripts, java scripts etc should be used in a custom include.

That's what it was. I changed the permissions for a couple of index files that was from the other website I gave up on and it appeared just as it should. Now I can eliminate the uneeded files. Thank you for your help.
