Thread: Soho not allowing login and site does not load any pages

My soho site which was running for over a year now as an addon domain, has been down for almost a week now. I am running into a few issues.

To start some type of way the permissions have been changed on a lot of my files. I have been trying to fix the permissions on the files myself, but I am not sure what all the permissions should be. Can someone point me in the right direction by telling me what the internal soho file/directory permissions should be? I worked on permissions a little and can at least log into the sohoadmin panel but the follow is still happening.

1) The page will not load anything

2) Internal Server Issue

Special Thanks to navaldesign and beth!!!! My site looks like a site again. I never would have figured out so quickly how to backup, reset and restore both databases and files so quickly without your advice. Due to your help, I was able to rebuild the site in less then a day once I started working on it. I will try to write the steps later for anyone interested?

Now can someone tell me how to avoid any future exploits of my sites? Is there something which I can do, files that can be locked down? I have seen on several notes that there is an app that will repair permissions, etc. though I don't see if in my cpanel, does it have a name or do I need to download it from somewhere and install it?

Also, the menu is now on top and not the left side. Is there a quick fix to this or do I need to rebuild the installed template?

Regarding the menu, you need to set up a templete that has it on the left (if you so prefer). Soho has many templates that have the menu on the left side, just pick the one you like and rebuild your pages.

Regarding the script you mentioned, I'm not aware of any, sorry.

Hi! Part of the problem, is is that the template menu should on the left side. I used it before and it was on the left. Now it is across the top. Even re-loading it, the menu shows up up top.

I am using AGRICULTURE > FarmSickle Autumn.
