phpBB categories or subheadings

Can you divide a phpBB forum into subheadings or different categories like is done with the forum system used here with VodaHost. It seems like being able to categorize the comments makes it a lot easier to use but I cannot see how that is done with phpBB.

You have have one level of categories with phpbb

Example:

General Discussion
- Serious Discussion
- Chit Chat
- Other

Go into your admin panel and manage the forums (sorry I haven't used phpbb enough in the last year or two to remember exact titles). Heres videos tutorials VH provides for phpbb

You can probably find a modification to allow you to have further levels then this, but phpbb2 doesn't have it built in.

The forum system here is vBulletin, its packed full of features, one being multi-levels of categories.
