forum problem

hi all. ive just added a forum to my site but cant figure out how to add a new catagory. i can add new topics to my original catagory named:( your first catagory), but i want atleast 4 seperate catagories. hope someone can help. also how do you stop it from showing how many users are on and how many have been on at any one time. this has all been created using fantastico, phpbb

There should be one for setting up for forum categories

As far as removing the stats at the bottom, there may be a setting in the admin panel (I can't remember), but most likely you will have to get a mod/hack to remove it.
