Forum down - need assistance!

Help please! I have a well used forum which today no one can access due to the following error message:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
Table 's' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [1194]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

I have not done anything on the forum, so have no idea what could have caused this. I'm being contacted by a lot of worried members, so any advice you can give to help me get it back on line would be much appreciated!

Log in to mysql and repair the databases.. see if that fixes it.

Thanks Karen - I raised a support ticket, and God Bless VH they did it for me - and told me how to do it next time if it happens again!

Was in a blind panic for a while there! :)
