The only way to make your forum match your website is to get some one to customize your forum for you. This should not cost very much (depending on what you want done). Alternatively you can purchase a ready made skin for about $30. If you are using phpBB there tons of free skins on the available that you can use.

***** is right, it's pretty easy to do. Just browse the web for styles that are close to what you're looking for. You can change the logos (etc) in the header very easily so that it's your logo or graphic that shows up there. I'm happy to help (no charge) if you have any questions, just shoot me an email or post here.

Hey Racefan, thanks for the offer. I published my site last night, you can view it in my sig. I got the forums up and running with the default skin. Couple problems, I don't have a link back to the main site so far, and I can't figure out how to add one, and of course the forums look nothing like the rest of the site. As a first step, I'd like to figure out how to link back to my main site from the forums. Any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks,

You just need to edit the Subsilver overall_header.tpl (public_html/forum_directory/templates/subsilver). FTP it onto your pc and use notepad or wordpad to open it. Find this line:

Replace {U_INDEX} with your site's url. Remove alt="{L_INDEX}". Save and upload. Make a copy of the file before you edit it, though, in case you make a mistake. |
