Hi, I have a page in my site reserved for a forum http://www.sitesunion.com/man_forum.php Please go there and see. I began to create a forum as per the tutorials, and have gotten as far as having the top panel of a forum on http://sitesunion.com/forum/adm/ I do not want it there. I also am not able to continue, its a little beyond me. Questions: 1. how do I get the forum into the page I want it (1st URL above)? 2. how do I remove the forum head which is in the wrong place? 3. is there someone out there who can set this up for me? I am afraid I have watched the tutorial a few times, but to be frank, it is beyond my ability, I have only just learned how to build a beginners site. http://www.sitesunion.com/glycofacts.html Hoping and praying Thank you Last edited by start living; 06-16-2008 at 05:55 PM. Hi, you cant place a forum in a page. You would link to the forums page, IE.. http://sitesunion.com/forum/ Most forums you can change the logo via the admin area of the forum.

Thank You Chris, How do I get to work on this to put in various forum topics as sub forums? I can only get to it via the web? Must it be imported in to blue voda? Thanx |

Hi Hans, If you want want someone to set the forum up for you (maybe at a small fee), then you might be better off posting in this forum http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/vodabids-new.html I'm sure Chris, Navaldesign, Vasili or Watdaflip would be able to assist. |

The placing of a forum on to a page is possible as long as you stick to one or two guide line's, ( why u would want to is down to you ) People can still get to your forum direct or though google. 1/ use a iframe on your page wider than 800pix 2/ iframe must be scrollable 3/ don't use a skin that has a static banner wider then 800pix. 4/ don't let members post images wider than 400pix 5/ make sure that all exturnal links is set to open in new window. A demo of this Answer to your question two, find a suitable skin then change the header, which can usaually be found in the skins image folder. |
