My forum are dumped with sexual website promotion. I'd like to block them for entering my forum, but I don't know how to do it.

DELETE THE WHOLE FORUM. as there don't seem to be any post or threads that mean anything start agian making sure you set the registration to admin. as your forum is phpbb2 you will be installing the new phpBB3 which is a lot better.

If you Reinstall it would most likely clear it.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of recreating the forum just go into your admin area, search for the user or users posting these comments and put a ban on them. Then have some control over who goes in and posts.

Forums can be really difficult with all of the spammers around!

If you ban their username, they could join again under a different name.

If you ban their IP and their IP is dynamic, you could be stopping others from joining who have that same IP on another day. (And the spammer will have a different IP next time they log on anyway.)

If you ban the whole IP range (dynamic) in respect to the spammer, you could be banning a lot of people at the same time. (And the spammer could have been using a false IP to begin with.)

If it's a big problem with the porn posts - maybe put new members on post approval for the first week (or until you're sure the new member is not there to spam) - and when your forum becomes popular, ask some members to help you moderate it.
