Default Theme/template

Hi,

I have downloaded a theme from php website and have successfully uploaded it via file manager. The problem is I don't know how to change the default theme. I was under impression it is same as wordpress.

I have seen the video tutorials but it seems like the tutorial was for other version of php (prolly 2 XX). Even VH control panel looks different.

Please help the novice.

Thanking you in advance.

Kachano

P.S: I don't like the colour of the default themes. www.theconfab.net/forum

Hi AD,

Thanks very much for the link. I am, unfortunately, still lost. I have actually uploaded and extracted the "style" folder on the server (/public_html/forum/styles). I can see the folder is there but somehow I don't get to see it in the forum's administration panel.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Kachano

Got it. Just deleted phpBB3 from the database and uploaded. Works fine now.

The only thing that is confusing me right now is "categories". Does phpBB3 allow making "categories" or is it going to be all plain forums format?
