Default New forum to replace old one...

Hi guys,

I'm starting this new thread because in the last one I was asking for help on how to fix my forum, because after trying EVERYTHING I could not solve the problem of uploading avatars.
So now I'm think if would be possible to start a forum from scratch and transfer all the info from the old forum to this new one. And would this one work properly or this problem, which might be somewhere in my system, would be transfered automaticaly to the new one?

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

No idea as we never did isolate exactly what was wrong with the first one. Depends on how you do it. Import or back up from mysql

Did you consult the manual? They tell you how to set it up to do that.

you can use for old forum database in the new forum. if you installed though fantastico then save the database to your desk top before uninstalling. also download the config file for the forum. then wants this is done uninstall the forum. i would suggest downloading the latest version of phpbb straight from phpbb.com and installing manually. once you have installed you can then replace the database with your save one and change the config file.

if you need any help contact me.

Hi LadyEye,
As I said above, it's just an idea, and I'm not sure if it's gonna work. Karen has help me a lot and could not fix the problem. Maybe it's a bug somewhere!?
