You can use phpbb auto on www.boardzero.com - it allows you to make changes you want to/

Which version of phpbb are you running? Either way you will need to install several mods onto your forum. Unless you have knowledge of php, html/css, and the inner workings of phpbb your not going to be able to make these yourself, you will have to find mods created by others and install them onto your forum.

If your running 3.x...

This is a cash mod (http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewt...?f=70&t=547021). I can't comment how good it is or how close to what your wanting. There is a warning system, but I don't think its setup as you would like (http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewt...?f=69&t=597284).

If you are running 2.x... (not recommended you use this version as it is no longer supported by the phpbb development team/website)
Here is a cash mod for phpbb2 (http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewt...p?f=15&t=94055).

Now keep in mind the d2jsp forum isn't using any prepackaged software. The webmaster of that site created the forum from scratch, it is entirely unique to every other forum on the internet. To get functionality closer to that you should look into vbulletin or ipb (not sure about ipb as I have never administrated one of those boards). I know vb has built in warning, and have a very good gold mod you can install called vbcredits, which has a shop addon called vbcommerce.

No matter what forum you use, or what mod chances are its not going to be exactly what you want, or be as close to d2jsp as you like. It might still require custom modification.

phpbb is a software script you install, it is completely separate of blue voda, and is not something that you can edit with BV.

Vbulletin would have to be manually installed. Its a pay script, so you would have to purchase a license first (http://vbulletin.com).

You are also getting php and phpbb confused. PHP is a programming language, phhbb is a bulletin board programming in PHP.

D3jsp has several mods installed on its forum (its running phpbb2). Offhand looking at the site they have these mods installed:
Some type of portal mod
Chat mod
Warning system
Forum gold
An announcement system
some sort of clan management system

Now I can't really go into indepth detail of finding/installing all of these mods, here is a link to a good search for mod/hack sites for phpbb2
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&ei=oycgSrQioL63B7CsnckG&sa=X&oi=spell&resnu m=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=phpbb2+(mods+OR+hacks)&spell= 1&fp=2Inaafc1UxE

If your going to run phpbb3 change the google search accordingly.

The cost for someone to do these upgrades would vary greatly on who is doing the job. You can probably find someone to install of a bunch of mods relatively cheaply ($100-$200). Now I would make sure you either have your templates modified or install one you download before you go about installing mods. Mods generally have two sides, the backend (the php code/database modifications) and the frontend (the template modifications). If you install all of the mods and then go about changing the look you will be basically reinstalling half of each mod you have installed.

Finally... to make sure your not confused on this. BlueVoda is a webpage generator, not editor. NOTHING you install on your website (such as a forum, blog, cms, calendar, portal, etc) can be modified using BV. All of these types of things are hand coded, and can only be modified the same way. The closest you will get an easy template modification is a website such as Colorize It, which will dynamically change the colors of a few predefined templates they have available at their website.

Oh, and I'm just wondering, what game are you making your trade forum for?

Unfortunately I'm not taking on any freelance jobs at this time. You may want to try the freelance forum, but keep in mind, you might be able to find someone to install an existing mod for everything on that list for that price, but to write all of those modifications you would be looking at a price much, much higher. Best of luck with your site though as well as the wait for D3's release (I'm waiting too)

Almost all the mods you mentioned are in phpBB3.

phpBB3 also gives you added security by providing a login Captcha
which can help you prevent spam in your forum.

My experience.

I Insalled phpBB2 in another one of my website and before I could finish configuring the forum, I had more than 200 spam entries and registration.

In another site where I installed phpBB3 where I set the Captcha to login at a medium level,..........I did not have any spam at all.

It only cost 50 to have someone knowledgeable to install phpBB3 forum for you +30 per MOD that you really need.

Why pay 200 for something that you really know nothing about and may cause more headaches later on?

1 question,
Code:
" i change my mind, i will install the phpbb3 forum"
if i have the latest version of phpbb3 - phpbb3.0.5- can i install the mods that are for 3.0.0, 3.0.1,... --> 3.0.5 or i can istall only mods for 3.0.5
I get error if i install mods for lower version of phpbb that i have (3.0.5)?

thx
i learned ho to install mods, its verry simple now

the latest question : is good to install all mods on my phpbb3.0.5 now and after to install the forum from scratch? or is not so good?

good day

You are learning.

Install from scratch and learn to install MOD one by one.

Most of all before installing the Mods goto the phpBB forum knowledgebase and find reading instructions on how to install your different Mods.

Walk dont run.

It would depend on the mod, but generally a mod written for 3.0.1-3.0.4 will work on 3.0.5

You need to install the forum first and then add the modifications one by one.

okay, y'all. I am thoroughly confused. So, if I want to pHpBB page on my website, I have to buy a program to moderate the site? I thought BV has tutorials on how to do this?

PHPBB HaS tutorials that bv just borrows. You dont have to BUY phpbb although you may have to purchase some of the mods for it.
