Default Need assistance

I am trying to upgrade my SMF forums from 1.1.10 to 2.0 RC-1.2 and I have to do it through FTP, which isn't a problem. I'm trying to use the BlueFTP, but it's not connecting. I'm using the right address for it (208.43.222.136), the right username and password and it's still not connecting to the server for me.

Any thoughts? If there's anything else that's needed, just let me know.

Word of caution, I'm a total newbie with this coding and FTP thing.

Thanks,
Wayne

Use your DOMAIN name rather than the ip address.

It's still not working for me. If I'm using the right username from the FTP section of cPanel (username secondfleetonline@cdf8thfleet.org), then it's still not working at all. I'm trying to do this (again) through BlueFTP. I just don't get why it's not working. It's still saying "!! Cannot connect"

Hi Wayne,

Try reinstalling your BlueVoda.

This action will revert your BV and Blue FTP settings to default.

Alright, I have uninstalled BV and installed the new version (11.0, I believe). The username is the name I gave above, right?

No your user name will be the same as when u publish.. or when logging into your cpanel, and the password associated with it.

Still nothing. Tried the username that I was given for cPanel and password. Nothing at all still. I've even tried using FileZilla from the cPanel and followed the instructions to the letter, still nothing.
