ive been running a forum (rather blindly) for the last few months and tonight i went into my control panel. i noticed the forum needed updating so i went through the motions to update. once done i went to enter my forum and all i get is this ........................ Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/lqtawblz/public_html/Forum/config.php on line 14 what have i done wrong or what havent i done? sorry if this is in the wrong section, im quite dopey at this sort of thing! thanks in advance |

i dont know.. did you get errors during the update? Did you redo your configuration file correctly? What forum is it? etc... how about link?? Karen

hi, i contacted vodahost and they fixed it, they said the update nev er went right and it basically put all the code out. they used the fantastico back up to restore it so i guess i still need to do the updates!!!! i guess im going to have to employ someone as i dont understand this live php stuff my websites address is... http://www.kentishthames.com |

I see it is still Knackered. looks like you have a file conflict with the database something like You have 3.0.4 files, but a pre-3.0.4 database. To fix this, upload the "install" folder from the 3.0.4 install package, and browse to: http://your_board_address/install/database_update.php then delete the "install" folder again. if you installed through c-panel then you will need to download the full package from phpBB.com but only ftp the install folder within the package. |
