Hi guys , I need to integrate my wordpress news blog www.techinfo-4u.com/wpnews with my new forum www.techinfo-4u.com/forum so that anyone who signs up with my wordpress blog can participate in the forums and vice a versa i was told to look for wordpress and phpbb forum integration on google i found this Wp-united which seems to do the job, The only problem is i cant set it up All the tutorials for it are out of date and for older versions of my phpbb forum has anyone done it before and know how i can do it? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks |

Download it plus the manual mentioned in the Blog. The answer should be there somewhere. Otherwise email the author for instructions. Since it is a very new program, it is doubtful that members know much about it. I just got to know about it from your post.

integration between the two known as bridging and is a mod / hack whatever you like to call it, and to be honest unless you never intend upgrading or modifying ether wordpress or phpBB3 is a waist of time and effort. mainly due to the fact that both programs are updated regularly and every time that happens you have to update the bridge and if the writers of the bridge are slow the hole thing falls down. we did a similar thing for a joomla site integrating a phpbb3 two weeks later joomla updated and where still waiting for the bridge update. nightmare. |
