Error installing forum

I am getting the error message ....

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'coaforum'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home2/*********/public_html/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 48

I cant figure out what it means.

Between pressing install and getting this, I get a popup box asking me which website login wants to be changed password, and cancel out because none of them apply.

This isnt in the tutorial, so I'm a bit lost.

Any help asap appreciated.

What type of forum are you trying to install? If it's phpBB or SMF, you should install it through the Fantastico link in your Cpanel.

Thanks for that, yes, in the end I did. Came acrross it pushing buttons in the panel to see what they did :)
