Default email in RoundCube need help please!

I am about ready to jump ship!

I receive mail in but I can not send any out in Round Cube. I uninstalled and re installed, to no avail.

I have given up trying to set up Outlook, I am spending my life on this..

Problem is I have biz cards with Jewelry@victorianrosebud.com and I had put up a page with Em address, and it is not working properly.
Does anyone have / had the same problem.

Thanks,
Aura

Its my understanding that round cube is like outlook except online. If you want to use roundcube..then you must login there.. if you want to use outlook then you must set it up with your default email information and NOT roundcube

See tutorials here

Thank you, I don't have Outlook, just RoundCube.

I un-installed and re-installed, and still have the problem?
Can't send email.

Why dont you use Hoarde instead. I think it is the better one out of a limited choice.

Hoarde is is doing the opposite of RoundC

Hoarde = will not let me RECEIVE mail and

Make up my mind.

Either you have outlook or you dont have outlook????????????????????

you may have to set up using your isp information in the outgoing to SEND mail from outlook.

NO I do not have Outlook! I configured (jewelry@Victorianrosebud.com IN Outlook) with all the bells and whistles including POP, Mail in and Mail out .. etc.

After all said and done I went to log into (OUTLOOK) and it ask for a password, and I couldn't access... changed password 3 times and still a no go, I would not let me access ! So I deleted it.

THEN

I am attempting to use RoundCube, it will not allow me to send email.

Because Round Cube is not working properly, I went into my website VivtorianRosebud.com and changed my email address FROM Jewelry@victorianrosebud.com to my regular Comcast email address.

TO Auralight@comcast.net

Reason being I want RC for my website email address. But I have this problem of Not being able to send email, and can't seem to fix it.

I hope I made myself clear and
I thank you for your time

Then you do have OUTLOOK or you couldnt configure or USE It. Outlook is a program not an EMAIL account.

You will most likely need to change your OUTGOING mail server to your comcast settings.. your user name and password for your email there as you are SIGNING on to their mail server even tho you are sending DOMAIN mail. Ask them how to set up the outgoing in outlook then you should be able to select your domain mail from the drop down in the FROM window of a new mail and send it fine.

Yes, I realize that Outlook is email account, I know how to set it up.. I have added several different accounts, over the years.

I have been trying to set up ANY KIND OF EMAIL for over a Week. This is Soooo frustrating, I can't take much more, I think I will just throw the towel in.

Thank you for your help.

No Aura,

What Karen just said is that Outlook is not an email account. It is a program just like Horde & Round Cube to access your email account at VodaHost.

Outlook is a local program on your system that you have to configure.
Horde & Round Cube have nothing to do with your system...they are webmail programs. (above you said one that you have roudCube & once that you uninstalled & re-installed it - IMPOSSIBLE - it is on the Inet not on your computer)

Relax, take a breath and explain the problem you have, in clear english that we all can understand, so that we know what is happening. If we do not understand the problem clearly, we can not help you.

I have been where you are. I know how you feel. I myself have a problem with emails (using Thunderbird) Have been waiting several days for someone to answer 2 of my questions.
If you want to use Outlook forget about the others. Delete any account that you may have configured in Outlook and start over. Do not forget to configure the outgoing mail server part.
