I sell custom printed and embroidered apparel. In many cases the customer wants to add their name...is there a way for them to add "Personalized Name" to the shopping cart and then be prompted to enter the name they want put on the garment? Thanks!

Depends what shopping cart you are using. But in most cases.. yes this can be done.

I'm using the PayPal cart

You will need to go to the paypal site and generate your customized buttons there for the needed variations, and copy and past them to your site in html box. The built in one has SOME variations, but not sure if it would cover all of this or not. You can check tho.. right click on your button choose properties and go thru each tab listed there to see if it will produce what you need.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, How do I do what I am trying to do, I went to the PayPal site and can't figure out what to do based on the advise above...just so I am clear, the customer needs to be able to add a personal name to the shopping cart, but they also need to enter the name...here's the link if you want to see where I am at:
