I just got off a plane, and things have changed. No toothpaste on a red-eye !! Fortunately I got a kit from the airline.

Oh, I know. I'm dreading making a long-haul flight again, no water, no lip balm and no moisturising cream. They weren't even allowing books and magazines - has that changed now?

The US still allows books and magazines and carry-on, but alas no liquids (so much for duty free tequila). Lip balm and deo allowed in solids but not liquid/roll-on, go figure.
No water but the airlines have lots of that for you on board.
The toothpaste and eye drops are the worst.
