Thread: Frog in a well

If a frog falls into a dried up water well 60 foot deep. Every day the frog Jumps up 3 feet, but slides back down 2 feet. How many days’ will it take the frog to get out the well?

Ok lets see now ....hows this then ...on day 57 he's on 56 jumps... then he wakes up and hasnt had a jump yet ...lol..... he then jumps 3ft =59 drops back 2 = 57.. and on day 58 he jumps 3ft and he's out! ....phew! thats a lot of jumpin lol

You got it! On his last jump the frogs out, so doesn’t have to slide back two feet. So the frog can deduct the days.
