A little background. This commercial aired during the 2000 season, the first year Dale Jarrett drove a car sponsored by UPS. The hook in the commercials was always that UPS didn't want DJ to race cars, they wanted him to drive the big brown truck in the races.

He sure will, and good for him, because Robert Yates has given him nothing but junk to drive the past couple years. I don't know that he'll do any better with Michael Waltrip Racing, but he can't do much worse than he has with RYR.

A Pacer, wow, went through Death Valley in one of those. 120F about 48C and no A/C. Freezing at night. That car did hold its own.

Drove one of these for a bit, they raced good, rolled too. Shifter was on the dash, no seatbelts, sliding windows and a 1300cc engine. Ugly little car. Renault 4.
