Thread: NHL Hockey Pool

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to know if anyone here is a hockey fan? Mostly, do you have a certain team that you go for etc. if so, I am thinking of starting a hockey pool this year with everyone on the forum, if there isn't enough I will forget it...

It's just an idea so... let me know...

Even though it would all be in fun, If you did a pool and took money, believe it or
not it would be considered a felony in the USA, and all it would take is one person
reporting it.

Damn .. forgot about those rules in the USA. That's fun just for fun would still be fun!

Ahhh yes field hocky ...almost as mean as ice hockey and can you image when they are PMSing...ooooo....the mean fctor sets in.

But in defense of the Ice hockey folks...I think standing on a thin balde while you try to get little black thingy (puck...lol) across into a goal and have several people trying to kill you while you do it ...well that deserves respect....LOL

One win does not an expert make. I will agree it was a lousy game.
NHL has a big challenge this year, after the mess they made when they cancelled the season, a lot of effort and good games are needed to bring fans back.

I have to agree with you, it was Rangers penalties that let Toronto dominate.

The NHL Strike did not help either. All these new rules - you get a penalty for just touching a guy now? Crazy stuff ...

Alright! Sounds good, I was thinking of a site with many popular sports like football, hockey, basketball, baseball etc. but to start off we can start with hockey, there would be a 10$ fee to join and a 1.50$ setup fee, we can consider the prizes later on.

Sounds good ... we need further participation though Jeremy or I'll be winning all the prizes ...

I am talking about getting ready for the new season of Hockey and then the playoffs in 2008.

Oh okay Jeremy, plenty time to prepare then, sorry I guess I was jumping the gun, wasn't sure when we would start this ... well we certainly do have time to spend on this and gather the participants ... sounds good ...

Don't know if this "pool" will get off the "ice" or not, but I'm willing to bet the originator of this thought-provoking ordeal that the Chicago Blackhawks will win the Stanley Cup before your beloved Leafs do. Only in Canada do the Maple Leafs fall in the spring!!
