Default An old man tries to keep up with his family!

Hi, as of late today (Sept 22) I became a part of what seems to be a great idea carried out to a high degree of success. Already, I feel part of my new family. My name is Mel. My sweet heart May and I live in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. I am 64 and semi-retired because of a series of operations over the last few years. May works at a local clothing store, helps look after our grand-children and is part of the worship team at the local Alliance Church. The drugs I take for my constant pain affect me in a number of ways: I am forgetful, I can fall asleep in front of my computer, forget my code number at the check out counter, etc. May and I have two adult daughters: Christina and Deborah. Chris is the oldest and has four boys ranging in age from a teenager to a one year old, with a two year old and a five year old in between. They are Keegan, Kellan, Chase and Kayleb. They are a hand full, so May spends a lot of time after work helping Christina getting the boys settled down at bed time. Debbie and Erroll have a daughter who is approaching her teen years. A few weeks ago Deborah found out she was pregnant after a span of years when she could not get pregnant. They are absolutely delighted! I am looking forward to chatting with you!!

I already feel as if we've been neighbors for years!
    Another cup of coffee, Mel?

Welcome to VodaLand, the place full of Magic and where your online dreams will come true!

You will be surprised at how much the process of building a website will provide the stimulation and cognitive exercises that you can begin to see as possibly a type of self-therapy! It surely seems like a project that will keep you busy and enagaged..... Do you have any plans for your site yet? If it will be more personal, might you include some of your personal antcedotes and history, along with pictures of you family (especially your grandchildren??) This might be a way for your Bride May to be involved also, and provide some new element to measuring the day's progress.....besides counting pills, eh?

I am glad you joined our Community.
You'll have to watch out for me though, as I am a jester of sorts! .....All good fun though!

I look forward to working with you.

I am glad to meet you Al. I am pixel painter. This is a great place to be with many friends you have never met but will all in good time. I am also a senior just shy of a couple days of being 75. My wife is long gone, passsed away with a bad heart. I am doing fine but at times I feel a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with the house, meals, yard and all my other interests. I am anxious to get my website up and running to share my paintings and photos with all of you. May your health improve and you enjoy your computer chats.
