My first post on this forum and wanted to just say hello to everyone. I've been lurking for a little bit and there appears to be a good community spirit here with lots of information and videos.

I've never built my own website before and just suffering some information overload. I'm hoping to get off the fence very shortly and get started.

Don't worry too much about overload. You don't have to remember everything. There is always some patient person around on the forums to help you out, and the tutorials are great.
Go for it.. It's not like you can really screw it up. EVERYTHING is erasable..

Welcome! You will find all the help you need here. Once you get started, you will be surprised how quick it all starts to fall together. The hardest part is getting started. I spent months searching for "just the right information" I needed to get going, but found out that there is no such thing--I just needed to jump in. And this is the best place to do it!
