Advice for the ladies...decades too late perhaps!!
If you want someone who will bring you the paper without
first tearing it apart to remove the sports section
Get a dog.

If you want someone willing to make a fool of himself simply
over the joy of seeing you
Get a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front
of him and never says its not quite as good as his mother
made it
Get a dog

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour,
for as long and wherever you want
Get a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't
care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch
romantic movies
Get a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed
just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores
Get a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't
care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts
as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to,
and loves you unconditionally, perpetually
Get a dog.


But, on the other hand, If you want someone who will never
come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home,
leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs
around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep,
and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his
happiness...




Then.................




Get a cat!

Another great one Kate, and I have to agree. Mind you, my hubby doesn't cost quite so much in vet's bills I have to say, so maybe there is one advantage? Just the one?

You had me fooled! But makes a lot of sense. I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 husband. Let me see....which do I prefer..... 2....1....1

Another advantage...unfortunately the dogs nor the cat can fix my computer when it goes down...

lol nor fix the car or even gas it up ....

One of my friends, after going through two divorces, decided love nor looks was the answer for a man, it was now time to see if the next man could fix the toaster, she is now with the guy who could fix the toaster and she loves that .... lol ....

Wish I had had a husband who could fix any of those things.

And my dogs never break them!

It's really disappointing that god had us men fooled and gave us a useless tool that can't fix computers, toasters or cars... The surgeon that will start doing 'Spanner' Transplant operations for males will make a fortune.

er.... I've got a great dane - he's managed to break quite a lot! He's gone through two washing machines (learned how to open the door and rip out the inside (totally destroyed!!) so got a top loader. He then decided the knobs were extremely tasty!!) and anything else that isn't nailed down! Actually, my man has spent quite of lot of time fixing what the dog broke so perhaps they are quite useful!

Truly enjoyable everybody. lol
