Thread: mini websites

Hello

I got a question:
How do you make a mini-website run in an email such as done by Circuit City, AAA, K-Mart, WalMart, etc...
It's not just a link to a website but a REAL "mini" website that works right from the email that I receive from them!
Does anybody know?

It's a page written in html - with links, pictures and all - and anyone can do it. Any link in an email, if done properly, works directly from the email - just like links in messages here.

But, most of these companies pay big bucks to have those ads written. You can do similar by reading and learning. Put in html emails as a search in Google or any search engine, and you'll find software to help you do this.

Just knew you would know the answer to this Beth, and that was my guess, have never done this, and I like the idea alot actually ... it's a great question to ask Ronny777 ...

Beth ... I am wondering if you could do a page in blue voda, then just copy the html script off of that ... or would that be too easy and there is probably a legitimate answer as to why it wouldn't right??

Holly, As BV is proprietory to VH, I don't believe you could use it to create emails of this nature. I know that they can be created in Dreamweaver, and probably in Frontpage. I highly recommend that if someone is going the route of doing emails in this fashion, you really need to do them right. The charities I was involved with used Constant Contact and I'd probably look to using them again one day. They've got the software available to handle the bulk emailing - and they have the software to help create them. For free you can try them for less than 50 emails (I believe that's the number).
