VodaHost should have a contest and vote for the best websites built with Blue Voda...... I wouldn't know how to go about it, but it would be exciting IMO it would encourge BV users to build the best website they could possibly build.

Great Idea - but there are so many great sites - it would have to be by catagory - quite an undertaking

This was talked about last year, but nothing ever really came of it, except that it gave me the idea of a showcase for BV and SOHo websites......

I tend to see how a lot of feelings can be unecessarily hurt by having Contests or a sort of "recognitions" proceedings (other than the "Rank" which is given according to our posts -- which are supposed to represent our supportive contributions, right?).

Even if you try to make it so peers vote on peer sites, it will create a "tiered" membership, or imply a different social influence that need not exist.

I agree 100% with Vasili on this - and said the same, I believe, last year when it was brought up.

Everyone is at different levels and it's next to impossible to compare many of the sites - as they have different target audiences, etc. The best looking site might be the worst for search engines, etc.

But I'd not be against a free vacation :)

My group cruise that I had planned got changed and so now we are leaving out of Galveston, TX on Sept. 23, going to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozemel, MX, 7 day cruise at a GREAT group price. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email right away. We could have a lot of fun on a cruise...all of us BV people! It is open to anyone and everyone. Carnival Conquest is the ship! Hey Holly and CL, you guys want to get out of Canada in Sept, don't you?

March 2nd - 20" of snow, 110km/hr winds, followed with freezing rain and ice - Nova Scotia

March - more of the same, only a bit of daylight in between - Nova Scotia

April - Nova Scotia - April showers bring May Flowers

May - Nova Scotia - Picking Mayflowers

June - Nova Scotia - Sit waiting all month for summer

July - Nova Scotia - Oh it's getting hot, oops that was only two days

August - Nova Scotia - oh it's nice now, too bad tho, summer is over ... lol
