Thread: Thank you all and a little goodbye

First I want to thank everyone for all of their support during the past year while I've been building my web page. I could not have done it with out you and you combined knowledge. Also I want to thank you all for just being here - it got me through 5 surgeries and the death of a son. Now for the little goodbye - We are finally leaving on our long delayed trip. We will be leaving Vegas on Tuesday and will cross into Mexico probably Friday (going to stop to see our daughter-in-law haven't seen her since our son died) We will fool around Mexico until we've seen it all then if we are still having fun we will continue into Central America and then God willing and no divorce into South America. I will keep up my blog whenever we find internet cafes - also will keep up the web page (the blog is on home page of http://www.movingon1.com and maybe someday I'll write an e-book. I still have tomorrow and part of Monday when I can get on line before the disconnect - then the cell phone for a few more days to go on line then ?????? Many Thanks Again Ann Sirimarco

Hey Ann! How long will you be gone? Your trip sounds wonderful! You drive safely and have a great time and take lots of pictures, ok? We'll check your website and blog and try to follow your travels! Be safe!

Well your time has come Ann, you've been waiting for this and you are going on the road again. And just the two of you this time. How absolutely thrilling. Talk about being as free as a bird. I look forward to tracking you and keeping up with all you have to report. Every moment will be a milestone and a treasure. I believe you said you are going anywhere from 6 months to two years. That is quite a span, nice to be able to keep the persepctive of "free"!!

It's Lina here....the leader's wife, I just want to wish you all the best on your journey on behalf of the leader....as you know he is on a mission of his own......pitty we didn't get to chat much on the forum while I'm filling in for the leader.

Tonight we empty the bed (yes shades of the 70s we still have a water bed) and will sleep in the motorhome in front of the house. Tomorrow the movers come and put everything in storage and the cable gets shut off - ugh dial-up.
Anyway will not be completely out of touch.

Sound so exciting and full of hustle and bustle Ann .... Although I don't have a waterbed now, I certainly loved the ones I have had. Should be my next purchase really, I might just do that ...

Hello it's me - spent last night in Lake Havasu City, AZ - very hard visiting with our daughter-in-law and grandkids - our son died 3 months ago tomorrow - will take a long time to adjust to he was 41 and killed in a stupid accident on an off road vehicle. anyway
today we are in Gila Bend, AZ very windy all the way here - tomorrow we get to Nogales, AZ then Friday cross into Mexico. have a very iffy wi-fi connection today but did manage to update blog.

well tonight we are in Mexico in the big city of Hermosillo - crossing the border was easy - well depends on wether you read the web page or the blog - we made a few mistakes but was very effecient - we plan on enjoy every mile of the journey will keep in touch - and will up date web and blog when ever possible. i really enjoy coming back to vodaland and will return when ever - funny we have cell phone capability but cant get on line with it - rv park has FAST wifi though for today

Doing a great job Ann of keeping us up to date ... So exciting, almost feels as though we are travelling right along with you ....

hi again, we are in Bahia Kino, Sonora Mexico just across the street from the Sea of Cortez - had an unusual experience yesterday - stumbled on to a brand new church and into the first mass ever said there ------ amazing experience. spent this afternoon sipping margaretis on the beach have added new page to web site and up dated blog we will be staying here to see the Easter celebrations

Hello to everyone - we will be in Bahia Kino on the Sea of Cortez for the week of Spring Break. Beautiful weather, nice beaches and wonderful bread. am keeping blog updated but slow going on web page - also having to use my husbands computer, mine wont pick up the wi-fi for some reason

ahh, matazalan, been about that long for me, too..man the time flies, yes?
I think we stayed in alittle town called Equinapa, something like that, I think just south of Matazlan, don't exactly remember, was young and traveling on my thumb in those days. I do however remember the incredible sunsets...

So nice to have you 'taking us along' on your trip..

finally got internet again - we are now in tepic, nayarit, mexico - been here a couple of days and campground just got wi-fi working whoopi! need to do a lot of catching up - also glad i caught this thread before it went off the page - should i download the new BV - or just leave well enough alone also a question - will be under general issues

If you are on true broadband you should have no trouble downloading BV9.3 ..... but you may wish to wait about a week or so until ALL the bugs get worked out, right?

Whoopie! i am back on line again. we are in Zihuatanejo near Ixtapa - wi-fi in the RV park and for free! - I like to died when i tried to get in to update my web pages and it wouldn't let me. then i stumbled on the IP change - so am glad we will be here for more than 48 hours - i would pull my hair if we were leaving tomorrow and i couldn't get anything done. 38 days and 2258 miles so far and another 1000 on the jeep

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa is very nice, the beaches, the people are just great. Check out the millionaires' homes and marinas.
Only tourists drink margaritas, gotta have the tequila straight up :- ) or with lemon and salt.

Hello again, we have made many changes since i was last here - we are now in Queretaro, MX heading north. have changed our minds about making the trip now - so heading back towards states slowly - this is a beautiful town, we have fallen in love with it. The heat and humidity became too much for my health, also we are shaking our big motorhome to pieces. we will do this another time - in the winter and in a smaller vehicle - never too old to learn any way hi everyone again

Just reading your blog, and I know exactly what you mean about 'you just can't go back again' The world just keeps changing, more people, everywhere the same. I find myself long for the old days when things just weren't so busy, so fast, and so crowded. Well maybe they were, but I'm not, anymore..

Ann, was reading your blog , have followed your adventure and sorry it has not worked out the way you all expected. Times have changed all over and from what I read and hear, Acapulco has very much changed.
Having lived all over, Mexico was very special to us, best to remember the good things and wonderful people you met along the way.

Aw too bad Ann. I was so looking forward to meeting you and your husband. Followed your blog all the way and enjoyed traveling with you, maybe another time. It is best not to come here if your health is bad and you cannot endure heat and humidity. Today it is only 97f but very humid, with the humidity it feels like 112F. It only gets worse during the summer which unfortunately last through November sometimes. Take it easy and enjoy your trip back, maybe you can go the Beach route for the cooler weather.

Hi every one - well Bill tomorrow we are going to San Miguel Allende - will spend the day there while leaving the coach in Queretaro - George - we will be making the trip down the east coast at another time in the not too distant future - probably by jeep - i just think all the problems last year sapped me - not a chicken any more - so we will meet - but in the winter time! We love it here and will be here for a couple more days All in all our time spent in Mexico has been really great and we have met wonderful people.

Hi Ann, glad to hear that your decision, as tough as it was to make I'm sure, is a good decision. Mexico in the summer can be brutal. Sounds like a great idea to take your time and head north. Enjoy!

Hi there - this is Ann again, do not have a good internet connection so have been off line for awhile - we are in Nashville, Indiana where we have bought a house. This is a great area Brown County Indiana a very artistic place and a great place to live. We will get into our house sometime in July and hopefully have a high speed internet connection then. This is a great place. Lots of artists and creativity going on here. Can't wait to get on line again regularly. Need to make a new web page but don't know what it will be about. ann

not looking forward to the moving - way too much work! but when i get my PC i will probably start a new web page as i have a free domain coming - and will make lots of changes on my jewelry page - more realistic - also take the password protection off of it. it is beautiful here. so many trees. our house has enough room for us to make the stained glass, do my beading, work on stained glass and room for Bill to do his wood working. and 5 acres of woods! should be in by middle of July. thanks everyone
