FIND THE LIGHTEST COIN 8 pieces of same value of coins, one piece is a little lighter than the rest. Use a balance weight that has a plate on its left and right to find out which piece is the lightest coin with the least number of times of weighing them. Please tell number of times you weight them in order to find out the lightest coin and how?          |

Highlight text to see my answer --------------- The answer is 3 4 on the left 4 on the right, whichever 4 is lighter, you split to be 2 on the left 2 on the right, whichever is lighter, split to be one on the left one on the right... then you got the lightest coin --------------

Viewed 60 times. Still no answer. Come on! Shall I give a reward? OK. Now, Let you use two digital weights. Find the lightest coin from 8 coins of same value, same size, made of same materials, from same currency but a piece is a bit slightly lighter than the rest. PLEASE use the least amount of time to weight them and find out the lightest piece. |
