I am just nearing the end of a tough week, and certain things are frazzling me it seems.....Don't drink, and sure as hell wouldn't drink for a bottle marked like that!

Officers-Only AA Meetings are held here in the Club three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) at 12:00 PM for lunch, and offers an alternative from letting booze interfere with your career track.

On the other hand, Table Dancing Classes are held in the patio area every Saturday morning at 9:30 just after mess.

You and your table dancing! Well I guess after seeing your table dancing, lessons would be a good idea! LOL

Something like that??

Already spoke with Jeremy....he's game, and when he gets over a little bug, he's promised to get his sleeves rolled up.

So far, we're shooting for the first Thursday-Saturday of December, since anytime after the first week so much starts happening, what with the company parties, the little impromptou get togethers and parties proper.....(it may end up being the second week though, depending on how long it takes to set up).....so having it a bit up-front will probably help set a nice "Holiday" tone in the Community as well....and spreading it out over the end of the week allows people the chance to post their Video Greeting Card on the board for all to see when they get a chance to drop in ... in addition to feeling like it's an ongoing party they can pop in and out of. Yes?

I think Jeremy has a surprise or two up his sleeve, but I can see having a ramped-up forum of sorts to post vids on as well as a webinar portal so we can have multi-users on a single screen......anyway....I guess we'll have to wait until the Guru himself drops a hint or two.

So much for updates......my season is sneaking up on me....gotta run!

LOL.. Me thinks Vasili wants web shots so he can blackmail us later.

No....just that video is already "norm" for anyone progressive online nowadays, and since so many people have gotten laptops with cameras included (and still have not used them), I figured it would simply be neater than a "same-o forum" thing. Besides, the idea of being able to hear each other (for those who have never really talked to another VodaPeer yet) via "Video Christmas Cards" I thought was not only clever, but would be so much more "in theme" with the Holiday cheer we all seems to need this year more than in years past.


Besides.....the lack of progress on last year's party is something I would like to turn the page on completely....

Tisn't "my" club, you know .... I have been waiting to see how long it would be for someone to fire up the Jukebox and pop a few bottletops!

Been frantically trying to actually complete some web projects (they seem to have grown in number with disregard to individual ability to manage them alone) and at the same time prepare to close my San Ramon Showroom .... another casualty of the economy. So, that means putting more of my eggs into my online basket, and 'investing' in the singlemost active market segment that sustains my operations -- that being the Luxury market. Apparently they are the singularly vibrant segment that still does not mind parting with money for unique, collection-quality, or significant goods on a regular basis. So much for good training! LOL

And, I am severly tempted to enter the foray selling total look-alike c r a p to the masses, but I suppose I either have too much personal pride or am so old I remember the "five and dime" too clearly. Geesh! Even going to the "common" tradeshows make me feel as if it is like going to the flea market!

Yeah....I could use one of those nifty doubles Robyn pours in here, but alas! I am a committed iced tea man after all! Times like this I miss Bill and his handy pocket of Monte Cristo cigars.....

Hi Eric, Gail, everyone....

Yep, made it back. Had a great trip. The north rim of the Grand Canyon is much less commercialized and crowded. Towering forests of ponderosa pine and quaking aspen. 105 degress in Phoenix and 70's/40's on the rim. Only problem was Sharon suffered a bit from altitude sickness (nearly 9000 ft.) All in all a great trip.

Gotta get back to work though. Except for one more 3 night camp trip in early September we've pretty much used up our holiday allotment for the year lol...



The ol' truck did real good. Will post some pics soon....

Ken! Great to see you had a good trip! I love that area and it is so breathtaking!

Eric...well, it sounds like you have been busy! It's good to see you making adjustments as we all must do in the current economy and I do wish you success with that. I agree with your assessment of the Luxury market. The ones who have money are still spending money and whether we are in Travel or Jewels, that is the market that is paying our bills right now. I still get suckered into helping people find the BEST for NOTHING....but when I do find that for my clients, I feel good that I was able to help them enjoy their life a little more! Hope to see you around more...

Took me a while to realize my iced tea wasn't being spiked after all ..... and I have grown so used to an "increased patience level" from buzzing around the Base that I doubt I could endure it any other way!

Hey Eric, ya know I'm actually an iced tea man myself (in the summer anyways).... till 4 o'clock... then I switch to something a little tastier. Usually soda with a little scotch for flavour. Later in the evening I almost always seem to run out of soda.
