    Default Fake Paypal Emails

I have received emails supposedly from PayPal (but not). Here is a copy of one such e-mail so you can avoid falling for fraudsters.

Dear valued paypal member, We regret to inform you that your paypal account has been frozen due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the paypal community.please log-in and update your info so we can provide you back with your account Here:
    http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr/

PayPal say that all their emails are addressed to you by your first and last name or your business name, so this one has to be fraudulent. This particular faudulent email asked for my credit card pin number, which Paypal never do.

Be very careful with these emails. It is a complete scam. This is called
phising and costs millions of dollars every year in losses due to fraud.
Forward any and all such emails to spoof@paypal.com

I think the office of homeland security could spend more time on these kind of security problems and less time interagating 7 11 clerks.

It is very good information to know.
PayPal let's you know that they will never send you an email asking you to log on and enter your information. It's been a while since I have seen any of these fraudulent emails circulating... I guess we were due!
