after running north london riderz for two years now i have had good success with sponsors of audio for my pt cruiser.i have sent 100s of emails to various automotive companies and have had little or no reply.All i have asked for is for them to sponsor my car for a charity that helps children and adults with breathing diseases so i can go around the kids houses and show them a modified car and take then with their parents for an hours drive that they would only see on movies.My car is partly modified but it needs more but it seems that these firms are only looking for people who are very rich or have celeb status the car industry is worth billions so why don't they help others who buy their cars with helping children enjoy the modified car world.I know of one child who has never spoken since birth he is now 14 years of age,his mother asked me to go around the house at night as my car has neon lighting under it and neon lighting for the install,she told me his favourite film is the fast and furious and that he only makes noises when the cars lights start to glow.so i went round that night with my cars install very loud and parked outside with the cars blue neon underbody lighting on.she took him outside and his face was a picture he has never seen a modded car only on DVD,i told his mum and dad to get in the back and her son to sit in the front with me.i them played the fast and the furious DVD on my system he was over the moon,i then took then for a hours drive around various towns,after that i took them home and what happened next i will never forget for the rest of my life bearing in mind this young boy had never uttered a single word,as he and his parents got out of the car as i got out he looked at me and started to try and talk he would not let me go until i heard what he wanted to say,his mum and dad said he is trying to talk but has never been able to so i walked up to him and said "did you like your ride" with a huge smile he said very slowly pushing his words out "thank you for the best time of my life" his mum and dad just stood there for a few seconds then they turned round to me and said you have brought joy to my son and to us as he has been to many doctors and none of them has got him to talk,the father said you have made all of us the most happy parents in the world for this miracle and we will never forget what you did.This is why i need sponsors so i can bring my car to disabled children who love cars and cannot see them up close.
That's a wonderful story about the little boy. I am sure the local papers would be interested in this story... The boy who you got to talk after 14 years!!! Now THAT would probably help you get sponsorship no? Worth a try.. Best of luck with it, there are not enough people like you.
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.
