Fire is still going strong in Nova Scotia,it has doubled in size, and more folks evacuated....

This is not a joke......

(although the name of the thread......might suggest that, I didn't want to start another thread, and since the fire started on the 13th......meh)

two other provinces were called in to help, haven't heard an update yet this morning, I will keep u posted.

Not sure if my broom will help on this one guys.....lol

what a horrible fire. we are battling them here in california too, though our winds have let up at last. it is so dry..

Thanks everyone......

The fire is getting under control, some folks have been allowed to pass through to get their pets, we are expecting rain on Tuesday, many folks will return to their homes tommorrow, a few homes lost, some more damaged....but things are looking better.......

......are the fires still going in California Liz, I was going to ask you if you were seeing any yet, remember last year they spun out of control.........scary stuff.

Everyone is good, Darlene had to evacuate, she is staying with my brother......Mom & Dad's cottage is fine.....

.....jeez, a Friday 13th to remember....

Hey Robyn, Good to hear things are getting better, and all yours are OK.
I hope it wasn't that hot broom that started it. We have hot weather here in Texas, but not major fires yet. I had a great Fri, 13th though, the brand new company I am working for had thier first two legitimate sales on Fri. So it's not all bad news.

No fires here, but the tornados have been tearing things up over the last couple of weeks here. We've been fortunate just wind damage no touch downs close. 30 miles in either direction not so lucky. Thinking of you, be safe.

I think we have the tail end of your tornado Ed.....the wind is what fueled this fire out of control.....

......fire is contained now, we are waiting for the rain to start, most folks are back to their homes today.

....back to normal....whatever that is......lol
