Well i don't know. Well today is the first time I got natural searches for the site. A couple off google and one from yahoo. the site is 22 days old and was listed in google in 4 days. Most of the view was from the forums and emails I sent out.

Ah...but at least the voda doing its thing to help ya! 22 days........emmm, not too bad........

I'ts not realy doing to bad. I also had a few adsense clicks on it to which is what I set it out for, and when its mostly complete I will also try and get some advertisers for it. Right now I got about 150 jokes on it, adding to it about five jokes a day.

Maybe, choke it up a notch...instead of five a day...maybe one a day...get more ummppphhh for the effort? Just a thought....now that you are established?

Well that one a day is realy not enough. See I have on the home page a daily joke which goes into daily archives with a date, Which will leave the other catergorys being not touched. Plus by the end of the week I have another category going on itas well. I'm having alot of fun doing it though.

I already did the testing at submit express when I first published the site all looks good at seo point. Thats why I think it got picked up quick with google and even with yahoo, which i was shocked. They have a few pages listed.

You're on to something, Joe. Adsense will be good for you I think. Ya just gotta be stubborn. It'll take awhile. I have about a half dozen adsense sites planned by Christmas (ho,ho, ho we'll see who's a good little boy) but don't expect them to bring any real success for awhile (year? two?). Still, pennies add up....

We won't get anything from Santa if we don't stop talking 'biz' in here!

No i won't expect something with them for a whil like you said it all adds up. Having 4 websites and 2 blogs and May add a subdomain for the joke site which will have funny pictures on it. I have been working alot on my projects plus promiting the sites on 3 other forums. Hopefully it will all pay off in the end. Last look at adsense about a hour ago the joke site was up to 110 impressions annd one click at 7 cents.

Joe, if you can do something with your navigation bar and move the adsense to the left you'll find you get more clicks that way. Also get a link unit at the top as they make the most $$$

Keep the jokes coming though... always make me laugh.

Thanks for the imput I will keep that in mind when i update the site. I have been changing the other sites every few months to give them a new look. It always have helped the sites so the update I will probaly do what you have mentioned.

I messed about with Adsense for a couple of years until I got it to where it now earns around 80% of what I need to live on comfortably without doing anything else. Of course... my work continues to make that 100%.. and more...

Just experiment, you will find what works best for you. If you are deadle serious about earning a good revenue from it then it's worth extra effort to get there, the results are very rewarding. Looking at your other sites briefly, one thing I would also try and do is get the background colour of your adsense to match the colour of where you place them on your site. I found the easiest way to do that was to make a blank page on BV, place the colour as background, go into the html code and it will give you the colour code. enter that code into the background field of the ad unit and away you go. The more you can blend them onto your pages, the higher chance of getting some click thrus.

All I know is the basic concept. Do something worthwhile and make a page worth visiting. In my case I have a dozen relevant domains in our field and, of course, all of these sites will point back to Sharon. But each has its own value.... aromatherapy wedding, aromatherapy baby, aromatherapy skincare,etc.....

So anyways Joe, Ramsey's the man and I was just being encouraging.... you're actually further down this road than I am.

Trust me, there are many adesensers out there earning more a minute than I do a day, I only talk from my experience and good fortune to have made this work for me.

Well up to this point I am happy the way its going. I have been taking in some knowledge from where ever i can get it. I may not put it into use right a way but I always do in the long run.

I feel ya, Joe...Ramsey keeps raising the bar and I keep taking notes.

I think I got my seo for the sparse content, (uh, what content, yeah I know), up to snuff. and planning the next belch. Baby steps. Uh, that's me.

I stopped taking baby steps when I left yahoo web hosting to come here to voda.

The first thing to do is NOT post your question in the general chat room AND on the back of someone else's post!

Please next time start a new thread in the correct forum.

Now, for adding adsense you need an adsense account.

Once applied, you have to wait up to one week for them to accept or refuse you.

Once they have accepted you, you can create your adsense features by following extremely simple instructions on their website.

Once they accept your first website, you then don't have to apply for any future websites, as long as they fall within their terms and conditions you can add adsense to as many sites as you like.
