    Default Hello!

Hello! I've just joined this group and am happy to be here.

I'm Nathan Parker, the President/CEO of Mallard Computer, Inc. I've been called to be the web designer for the Inspiring Women Foundation (one of the members happens to be one of my corporate attorneys, so that's why I probably became their web designer!). They happen to be Voda customers, so I've been helping them learn all of the new features of their service. I've been publishing their site at inspiringwomenfoundation.com (although all that's being released to the public right now is a construction page), and I've also recently setup their blog using WordPress. So that's the reason a guy is posting messages for a women's site. I'm the geek they hired to build their website.

The reason why I'm posting under their account instead of setting up my own is because most of the time the messages on here will be from me. Since I'm the webmaster, I handle most of the web issues that arise. However, this account is shared with the organization, so from time to time you may see others posting under this account if they have any questions.

Well, glad to be here as their webmaster, and glad to have a place to discuss and get support for VodaHost.

    Thanks!

    Nathan Parker

I'm from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Here's my corp site:

    http://mallardcomputer.com.

It's been quite a project. Been a fantastic challenge. It has really increased my knowledge in web design.

I did post an issue about VotePro over in the scripts forum. Wonder what I'm doing wrong on that one.

Thanks for welcoming me! Glad to be here!

Welcome for the freezing mountains of SW China,

I like the photos as the BG (now, IC why it is "mallard" computers)...

although, I have to say, the main nav bar, is a lil hard to read... (IMHO, a reverse type thingy) I guess you can call me old fashion... I LIKE black for typefacing....!!!!...

    BTW?

--- what tools did you publish that site with?
    --- XML?
    --- I love XML?

"Yahoo Slow" doesn't like your mallards?
It has trouble reading some of the PNG's
    It is a great tool..

    What browser do you use?

Support the SeaMonkey (better than Firefox)

looking forward to viewing the new site!!

Yeah, I know about the nav bar. It's fixed and won't let me change it. Otherwise I'd have something better on there.

I used iWeb to publish my site with since I use MobileMe. I have an aPhone, two Macs, and two PC's, so MobileMe keeps everything in sync. It also gives me enough bandwidth to carry my corp site, and since I'm paying for MobileMe anyway I might as well host it there.

I prefer Safari for my browsing experience since I'm on a Mac and aPhone. Web pages look really good on it.

I'm posting a new thread soon with the site grand unveiling!

    Thanks again!

    Nathan

You know what I mean by the "aPhone". I tried calling it what it is, but your forums block it out. Maybe because of trademark infringement?
