Ode to the spellchecker


Eye halve a spelling checker
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marks four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
and weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My checker tolled me sew.

LMAO. That was sooooooo difficult to read! Lol. Race'll love that, going off his comments in the 'Wish List'!! Lol.

My spell checker Ive had to add certain personal quirks of my own..like:
HAHAHAHA...
MMMMMMMMMMM...
LUV U.........
puter........
CYA........
and as such...it will learn too!...Just have to remember to keep the spell check off and do it manually!...

My best mistake ever was when I was a junior local government officer and wrote my first report that went to the elected members and the Chief Exec - I said something was available for PUBLIC inspection - well, at least that was what I meant. Unfortunately I left the L out, and spell checker was no help at all!

Boy was my face red when it was pointed out to me - after the report was printed and circulated to all!!!!

OH my what a wonderful story....wow..sounds like something that would happen to me...Thanx for sharing that one!
Ill use spell check when writing to friends and family..but If Im writing an important doc...good ole websters is right beside me!....somethings you cant just replace!

Ok ladies - my worst one was a handwritten one - which makes it even worse!

I was working at a local civic flower show as the calligrapher writing out the certificates for winners etc. Anyway one chap was called Mr K Y Smith. And as the Brits out there may realise 'KY (jelly)' is a popular and widely available proprietry brand of, erm, personal lubricant. We were all having a giggle - as you would. Later, when we were flicking through the certificates that hadn't been collected, I was mortified to find the one addressed to Mr K Y Jelly!

Yes. It was, after the initial shock, very very funny. Luckily I got the chance to put things right so the poor guy never knew. Can you imagine trying to explain that the chap??!!! Nightmare. Lol.

NO! I cant imagine! Hahaha..."Oh please excuse me sir...but my girlfriends and myself were laughing at your name.."...lol...nah...Great thing you had the chance to correct it so you didnt have to go thru any of the nightmare..and it makes a great story!
